David is a visual artist, painter and photographer from Nashville, Tennessee. I have personally been a fan of David’s work for the last 10 years, but only over the last year have we developed a personal friendship. We recorded this episode in his home studio, a warm and welcoming space where David paints everyday (wearing a tie!). Throughout the conversation we sipped on some Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel, a nod to both of us being native Tennesseans, and we had a lot of fun chatting about his life.

During our visit, David talked about his transition from a career in event production to being a full-time artist, how he deals with fear when trying something new, what he believes it means to be Southern, men’s fashion, and a whole lot more.
